Tuning includes a quick dusting of the piano interior if necessary and complete assessment of instrument mechanical and structural status. Standard tuning to A440. If the pitch of the instrument is too low, the pitch will be raised before fine tuning for an additional $80
Regulation is arguably the most important thing that you can do for your piano outside of regular tunings. Regulating the piano is the process of making sure all of the mechanical components are adjusted correctly, lubricated, and in good working order. It also involves cleaning out the excess dust and debris build up inside the piano.
Voicing is by far the most overlooked service for your piano. A well-tuned piano in good regulation can still sound bright, shrill, or metallic if it is not voiced properly. Voicing is the process of making sure the strings and hammer heads are in proper alignment, the hammer heads have a good striking surface, and that they are the proper density to generate a warm and round sound.
Having a good-looking instrument isn't as important as having a good sounding one, but there are other benefits of a clean instrument. Not only does it look nice, but it actually can help keep excess humidity from damaging your instrument or causing other problems such as obstructing your action from working correctly or causing sluggish action parts.
It happens over time. Strings corrode and loose integrity. Or maybe the piano was moved less than carefully. For whatever reason, sometimes strings break and they need to be replaced.
Depending on the use of the piano, climate, service intervals, liquid spills, debris and foreign objects, you may find that one or more of your piano keys are sluggish, sticking, or generally not responding correctly. Usually a quick adjustment is all that is necessary, but sometimes they need a little more diagnosis and repair to operate correctly.
